Abby Kahler and Jackson Wright will be our facilitators for this celebration of Women’s History Month and discussion of period pieces. We will be talking about movies directed or written by women, with a special focus on Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019), the story of a forbidden affair between an aristocrat and a painter commissioned to paint her portrait, written and directed by Céline Sciamma.
